County Tipperary


A small two-seater plane has crashed near Slievenamon in Co Tipperary on Auguest 9th 2011. 2 Casualties were removed to hospital after the incident. One of the casualties had serious injuries at the time with the other have less serious injuries.

This was the scene of a major river rescue in Ennis town. It was attended by Ennis town Fire and Rescue servics, HSE Ambulance service, Gardai,Coast Guard Chopper from Shannon (R115) and the Civil Defence.

Tipperary South





More major flooding this time in Clonmel were it left roads completed flooded homes under water and emergency services working around the clock.

Cork City





Scenes of major flooding across Cork City. The flooding left 18,000 homes without water and many roads under 4 or 5ft of water.

Ennis Under Water





During the last week or so of November the South and West of Ireland has been hit by very heavy storms and as a result large areas are suffering from very bad flooding. The Clare Town of Ennis was badly affected by these floods. This placed large stain on all branches of the emergency services. We have included a selection of photographs of the emergency services working in the affected area. Munster Fire and rescue would like to thank Pat Flynn for sending on these photographs and allowing us to use them on our site.

Coast Guard Rescue - Co. Clare


The Coast Guard unit from the Doolin Co. Clare was recently involved in a large rescue operation involving the Shannon Based Rescue Helicopter Rescue 115.

Armed Rescue




May 2008. An armed rescue was carried out by the Tramore Brigade, Irish Coast Guard Helicopter Rescue 117 and armed member of An Garda Siochana. Munster Fire and Rescue would like to thank the members of Tramore Fire Station for the use of these photographs.
